    Brendan and Bonita Utz

    U LEC is a husband and wife business, started in 2025 when Brendan and Bonita decided to combine work and travel.

    Brendan spent 20 years working across manufacturing, health, mining, infrastructure and transport before starting U LEC. It is his way back to the essence of the trade: quality, cost-effective electrical work, direct to the client.

    We build the installation, test it and commission it ourselves. We hire in the trenching and digging machinery we need and do that work ourselves, so there is no subcontractor to schedule around. For homes, we are Beacon Lighting Preferred Electricians and work closely with Beacon's in-house design team on lighting and ceiling fans.

    Projects are our focus, from commercial and industrial jobs to new homes and renovations, and we still take the rural work that is too far out or too awkward for others.
